Ringing Times
Ringing takes place on Wednesday evenings between 7.30 and 9pm. Visiting ringers are always welcome and we will try to arrange ringing to suit you but the needs of local ringers will take priority. Please see the Clock Tower Events page or contact Richard Major for further information.
The Curfew is chimed each evening at 8:00 p.m.
Information for persons who wish to learn bellringing
New learners are always welcome at The Clock Tower. We have ringers of all ages amongst our members. You just a need to be big enough to handle a bell. New learners normally come to one of our practices to meet our ringers and see what is involved, and this is then followed by a few individual sessions with a silenced bell. Once sufficient bell control has been achieved then a learner joins our normal practices.
We also welcome those who have learned to ring in the past and who would like to resume.
In the first instance, please contact Richard Major to discuss your request.
Information for organisers of peals and ringing outings
Ringing is limited by agreement with the Councils. Please send your request to ring Morpeth's bells to Richard Major in writing well in advance of your intended ringing date.
